We are a community based crime prevention scheme. This web site is an opportunity and a forum for licensees to meet representatives from local authorities such as the Police, Fire Brigade, Social Services, Environmental Health Authorities. PubWatch intends to represent and chronicle the actions and intentions of licensees - so the public (and local authorities) understand the efforts being made to improve safety in our town centres.

The scheme, at its simplest, is a message-passing link between licensees: the object of which is to combat violence and other criminal conduct when it occurs in our premises. It also engenders better communication between licensees and police to provide a forum for the discussion and solution of problems relating to violence or criminality on licensed premises.
